Unable to access 14ers.com overseas

Postby marscip » Mon Nov 14, 2011 1:27 am

I'm unable to view 14ers.com from my home Germany, although I'm able to at work. I think my IP range begins with 79. or 80.

I get the "403 Forbidden" error. Tried using Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Running Windows 7. Any suggestions?

edit: this happens with either http:// or https://

Do you have a firewall blocking it, maybe?

Maybe Bill was getting DOS attacks from those IP ranges and temporarily shut them down. Maybe the site was down for maintenance.

True

Just like I had to block a large batch in China and several other countries.

I'm not doing it by single IP address but by large blocks in specific countries.
I got tired of spending a lot of time combating foreign spammers and DOS attacks.
