I just stumbled across this new webcam of everest from Kala Patar. It is updated every 5 minutes during Nepal daylight hours. Check it out.

Re: New Everest Webcam
If you read the translated paragraph at the bottom, it mentions when the mountain is hidden in cloud (which is most of the time, this time of year) the site displays the photo you see here. I've checked this webcam a few times now and it has shown this photo every time. I'm still hoping to see an actual live image.

During Daylight Savings 12pm in Colorado is 11:45pm in Nepal. The current image is from 6.5 hours ago. Try again this evening.Tory Wells wrote:If you read the translated paragraph at the bottom, it mentions when the mountain is hidden in cloud (which is most of the time, this time of year) the site displays the photo you see here. And the translation I'm reading of the bottom paragraph says:
Pretty cool link, thanks for sharing. In the Indian subcontinent the climate is divided into a dry season (also called dry monsoon ) which extends from November to April and a wet season ( monsoon or wet monsoon ), which runs from May to September-October. During the latter mainly the webcam images of clouds will return

Re: New Everest Webcam
I posted this on a friends fb page. The thumbnail image that posted with it, appears to be the current pic regardless what the big one on the website is showing. Looked cloudy when I saw the little pic, clicked on it and the stock image came back.Tory Wells wrote:If you read the translated paragraph at the bottom, it mentions when the mountain is hidden in cloud (which is most of the time, this time of year) the site displays the photo you see here.
