Re: Wildflowers (updated to include any year)

Postby Mark Curtis » Wed Aug 17, 2011 5:03 pm

I started this thread several weeks ago to get an idea of where and how far along the new flowers were.....now with the season winding down I want to include all years (thanks to Bill and his thread posting format for allowing editing this far into the future). So let's see some older shots too....14er related or otherwise!

Here's a few older shots of the state flower (my favorite to shoot):

The Four Pass loop near Aspen is in stellar form (8/13/11), best flowers I've seen down there in the three times I've run it.

Have many of you seen a Mariposa Lily? I had not seen one until last weekend in the Gore range.

The Dalai Lama when asked what surprised him most about humanity:
“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
