I have been challenged by a front end loader in my vehicle, (circumstances will remain unmentioned, but to provide a hint, Lake Superior Agates are found in gravel pits in MN), and the best solution is to drive fast in the opposite direction. :)
They are much bigger than me.

Sorry you had to deal with that Larry. Sounds like you guys handled the situation as best you could. Please do us all a favor and follow up with the company. I think people usually brush encounters like this off their shoulder, which is perfectly reasonable, but then the offending driver goes unchecked, only to end up hurting somebody (or worse) in a road rage incident years later.

Hate this kind of stuff and I'll be curious to hear what the result of any follow up might be.

That said, it could have been worse:

You should definitely follow up with the police. If he was required to have a Commercial Driver's License than his behavior could put that license in danger.

Well, thanks for all the support and advice everyone. I've made contact w/ the Park County Sherrif and am exploring a couple other avenues. If anything interesting comes of it I will let you all know here. In the mean time, has anyone notice anything around the Kite Lake trailhead area involving those giant boulders? Just wondering where those were headed and what they were for...

Ha! I was going to make that joke, then thought better of it. But, that can of worms has already been opened.

Personally, as the others have said, I'd contact the involved company and the local law enforcement agency that is responsible for that area.

If my wife finds out that angry men take buldozers and destroy things ... she's going to start making a select few track-packin neighbors very irritated. A buldozer clanking up the driveway would be a dream come true!

What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - That's all I need the ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, and this magazine, and the chair and I don't need one other thing, except my dog.

I thought about this today and was wondering what conclusion came out of this episode.

It would seem to me that all you need is a bigger tractor than that guy. If he tries to stop you again just push him off the road and take his job.
