Trail conditions near Pingree Park

Post by pklotzbach »

Hi everyone,

I was thinking about heading up to the Pingree Park area this weekend and was wondering if anyone had been up there recently and could provide me with some trail conditions. The trails that I am interested in are:

Mummy Pass Trail
Emmaline Lake Trail
Comanche Peak Trail
Mirror Lake Trail
Hourglass Trail
Stormy Peaks Trail

Info on any of these trail would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Phil (saw your message on the FCTR list too),

We were up near Lost Lake from the Dunraven TH on Saturday, great trail conditions, some lingering but avoidable snow, short patches of mud from runoff. That's one ridge south of Stormy Peaks, but the trail was visibly cllear from our direction (although this would have been south-facing aspects). Mummy Pass also looked clear toward Fall Mtn.
I was up on Signal and Lookout a few weeks ago, also good. These aren't the exact trails you were asking about, but being in the area I think that the Pingree area is generally looking good and worth the trip. Wildflowers are coming up. Have fun!
