I love the sense of balance in the composition - just enough tension and just enough resolution to keep it interesting. The sky above the moon seems like the perfect amount to work with the overall composition. The summit itself is near the lower left third/third power point. Beautiful.
I love the way B&W both simplifies matters (down to composition/shapes/sizes/balance) and rather complicates issues of incorrect composition and exposure. Often, desaturating an image helps find the correct adjustments - when it can then actually go back to color if desired.
