Rough count shows possibly 6 for sunday. I am assuming everyone is just going to show at the trailhead parking and nobody needs to meet in Colorado springs?

I might show up for this. Not quite sure about a summit attempt for myself but I wouldn't mind getting up there and seeing how things are looking.

Zach- it would be great to see you. It's been a while.

Big_Red_Pride and I are leaving Franktown at 5:15. Haven't heard from Rocky Road.

See you all at the TH.

Well I PMed Big Red, but basically my Sunday just turned into a No-Funday. I have to take my car in to get fixed tomorrow before work on Monday... So I can't go. The car won't start, but the battery is fine so I can't figure it out. I need to get it towed there. :(

Sucks because I was looking forward to getting out with you guys. Anyway, I hope you all have a good climb.

How did you guys make out? I was coming down the front side around 1ish and the wind and snow was picking up.

Wasn't the nicest day to be on Pikes, but all 4 of us summitted and got down safely. Not sure where the 15mph forecast came from.

Sorry I was late in posting a report, Thanks Yikes. Lots of wind and snow but all turned out well. Everyone made the summit and made it back down.

Quite windy and cold up there. My hydration reservoir froze. And I don't mean the tube - the actual reservoir froze despite being in my pack and buffered with a rolled up fleece jacket.

Really I thought it was a very nice day on the peak...NOT. I'm just glad we all made it down safe and sound. Was nice meeting everyone!

Yikes- that's funny. Would you like the four guys as Martians pics, or the blowing snow pics?
Seriously, I never got my camera out of the pack.
