Thanks for the advice, Steve! We'll play it by ear, I suppose.

It looks like Yikes is a go as we've been exchanging a few PM's. I would still like to have one or two others in the group. I'm really not all that bad of a guy.

Dang Steve. I just wanted to say that I was 5 in 1988 and lived in Texas where we didn't even know what mountains were!
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." -- Calvin Coolidge

Saturday: A 10 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Forecast improved slightly (was 20% chance yesterday). Looks like Jim and I are going to be carpooling down to the TH from the Springs. Just one more bump for anyone who might still be considering something for this weekend. We're going to try to be at the TH between 5:00-5:15 and on the trail by 5:30.

I'm looking to ski something tall Sunday or Monday and I'd love to get Humboldt if the east ridge is skiable. I highly doubt it is, but if you guys could post a quick a conditions report when you get back I'd appreciate it. Have a great climb Saturday!

Good thing I checked my email (actually in bed right now). Sure, you're welcome to. Jim and I are going to be at the lower TH between 5:00 - 5:15 and hoping to be on the trail by 5:30. Mike (mad mike) might be there, too.
