Pikes via the crags on a weekday

Postby dave philipps » Mon Feb 07, 2011 5:53 pm

Hi,

Anyone have plans to hike Pikes Peak via the crags sometime soon. I weekday is better for me. I'm a strong hiker who has climbed all the 14ers, but would be game to go along with any type of party.

This has been on my list for a while. Can do climbs on weekends only though.

Yes, snowshoes might be necessary at the start, though at the top the wind has likely kept it clear.

I can't Tuesday. Not off till Friday. Or next week during the weekdays. Let me know your schedule for next week. And I will work something with mine.

Was thinking about doing this in the winter. I have hiked it in the summer but never with snow. I might be able to do it Sun or Mon (20-21 FEB). Let me know if any one is going on either one of those days.

Monday, monday, monday. Let's watch the weather. I'm in Colorado Springs. We could meet somewhere on US 24 and carpool into the mountains. Will likely need snowshoes for the first few miles.
