NEW! Peak Condition Pages

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Fri Nov 19, 2010 7:21 pm

This was a popular request and I hope people find it useful.

The Condition Reports and be used as "quick" trip reports when we have useful peak/route info, especially in Spring or Fall when the peaks transition to/from snow conditions.

Feel free to post in this thread if you encounter any problems using the new pages.

As peak condition updates are entered, they will show up in the "info" box at the top of route descriptions in the 14ers.com Online Guidebook

These (quick) condition reports now show up on the Pop-Out Window from the home page when you click on this image: Image

Bill, could you make the condition reports pop-up a bubble giving a brief view of the report when users mouse-over them on the homepage (like for forum posts and TR's)? The reports are a great addition to the site!

There seems to be an issue with the peak conditions list on the front page. Right now, a report on Pikes is the most recent, and the front page lists the author as dancesatmoonrise, but if you click it, the actual author is hillbillyMOUNTAINEER. Links other than the first appear to be fine.

Thanks!
Nothing to do with the server conversion, just looks like a bug in those new pages. I'll fix it this morning.
