Site Search Function

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:14 am

Today I'm converting the site Search Function (not the one in the forum) to an in-house set of programs instead of using Google. This gives me much more flexibility to customize the search pages, fine tune the indexing and, most importantly, index the site more often.

If you use the Search today, you'll probably notice it's a bit slow. This is also why the site is a bit sluggish. It'll improve once I get everything converted.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Thanks for the heads up and thanks for improving the search function. I know there has been a lot of comments and suggestions on what to do with it.

Does this means we will never see a "Which 14er should I do first?" thread again?

Still working on the new site Search function so it may be a bit slow as it reindexes this morning...
