That is so cool!

When are you hiking Quandry's? :D also does the women's long sleeve shirt from the store have the list of Fourteeners on the back?

The women's longsleeve synthetic shirt just has the 14ers.com logo on the front chest - no peak list on the back. The only shirts that have the peak list are the cotton t-shirts.
All we are called to do is do the next right thing.

Oh, and don't forget that now I'll also be giving a few out via the store.

Too funny Bill, Maybe i'll find you on Longs in August. It's difficult to hit the 14ers all the time living in Kansas City, it's a long ass drive. Oh and thanks Bill.

Maybe the solo climber that I gave the $100 card to yesterday will post on this thread. He was climbing El Diente from the north and then heading over the traverse.

I believe he said his username is "skitexas"

Yes, Virginia, $100 REI gift cards ARE real!! (I figured I'd wait to post until I had the thing in my hand, and one of my ever-wonderful revolving mail(wo)men didn't think it prudent to leave a note in my mailbox alerting me (s)he'd left a package with my apartment complex office. It wasn't until I started totting up days that I realized, "wait a tic--it doesn't take a small box 11 days to get to Golden from Breck!" and wandered to the office to ask. Sure 'nuff!)

Today Bill bought me a shiny new JetBoil Flash. Thanks, Bill! I'm sure the oatmeal I eat while in the San Juans this weekend will be the tastiest ever. :D

Bill,

Much appreciated! I just got back to Fort Collins to be able to check if there was some forum posting on this most generous way of spreading around your $1000 REI dividend (really, you spend that much at REI?). I think this is a really cool thing you are doing, whether or not I was lucky enough to run into you and your buddy on El Diente. The traverse combined with, "Hey, do you know about 14ers.com?", "um... yeah did I drop my trail description or something?", "no... you want $100?" made the trip about as memorable as they get. Thanks!

Michael

Michael,

It was great to meet you and you're quite welcome! I just figured this year I'd give back to some of the nice folks that use 14ers.com instead of just adding more gear to my closet. My REI dividend gets a bit bloated because I use my Visa for just about everything.

Sounds like you had a big day yesterday - without a camp! Nice.

Take care and be safe out there,

Bill
