Lol, I wrote a 18 page paper about the Sangre de Cristo Formation for a class last fall... so for that one I basically just went through and pulled stuff out of my paper, haha. I tried to make it so you don't have to actually have much knowledge of geology to understand it (that's why I put rock types and fossils in bold)... so if anything is unclear let me know and I'll try to put some context with it.
I am a geology major and really like this stuff so writing this is pretty fun to me... I'll see what I can dig up in the next few days about other mountains.
