14ers.com Home Page changes

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Fri Nov 27, 2009 12:09 pm

I've made some changes to the home page, including the default size of the photo (Flash) slideshow in the middle.

If you screen resolution is 1024 pixels wide (or lower), you can click "Display Settings" on the home page and set your screen size to "SMALL." The default size is MEDIUM if you don't use the Display Settings page. The display settings are stored in a cookie, so if you clear your browser's cookie cache, the home page will reset to the default settings.

Post here if you have questions. Thanks!

I'm not seeing the picture or the few buttons below it when I use Google Chrome - that said it looks great when I use Firefox

The homepage changes look awesome! No problems viewing it on my desktop; I'll have to check it out on my netbook.

Looks great Bill, you rock!

I believe I saw you said you went to Sherman Wednesday - I almost went there and did Yale instead that day. Would have been great to meet you and personally tell you how GREAT this site is. =D> Thanks for all -

Looks good, I can switch it between my regular screen and my wide screen with-out loss.

Hey Mr. Middlebrook, Happy Thanksgiving!

Hanging out at home, just logged in from the bar in the fancy new grocery store out here (full service bar in the freakin grocery store...amazing!), and immediately noticed the upgrades to the home page. Very slick, looking good!

To help you tweak it a little, here are some screen shots from my laptop:

Here's how it looks with my web browser in it's usual size:

And here it is when my browser window is maximized to fill up my whole screen:

Hope that helps! Tell your family happy holidays for me! :D

Hmm, definitely some formatting differences within browser versions. I'll make some changes.

Thanks!

The top of the home page should be looking a bit better now.

The wider picture doesn't work so well on netbooks (breaks it).

nevermind, didn't read the first post

Don't know if it helps or not, but I'm not seeing the photo in Safari.
Thanks for the great site!
