+1

Welcome to Colorado. There are trails that are MUCH worse. They're just not an hour's drive from Denver.

I agree, perception is key. Some folks think the road to Democrat is rough??? I enjoyed asking my wife to reach over and adjust the radio station just before I got to a bumpy section then watch her as she smacked herself around. She figured it out on the 3rd try

I was up Friday morning, the road is truly "rutless" ... I am just waiting for the parade of Smart Cars to head up

I have a sedan and couldnt get up Grays road in past three years.
With Guanella Pass intermittent open, the masses may move to Grays.

Same here. It's basically back to its usual "crappy but drivable" state, rather than being blocked by that chasm.

I was wondering if it got graded only because of the rockslide on Guanella Pass; maybe the equipment and manpower got freed up because they couldn't continue their work over there.

+1 on that! I was thinking "what rut?" Man, if people think that's a bad rut...

That rut was pathetic. Missouri has roads worse than that.

The last time I was up that road, 2007ish, I could not figure out why everyone was so concerned about the road. I made it just fine, driving at least 40 mph the entire way. I guess that everyone has different perspectives.
