Chimborazo in Ecuador?

Bingo. It must be the Rainiers long lost twin of the Andes since the mountains look so similar.

Here's a link to the photo:

Yeah.. The only difference from Chimberazo and Rainier is about 6,500 feet..
On my first take-off, I hit second gear and went through the speed limit on a two-lane blacktop highway full of ranch traffic. By the time I went up to third, I was going 75 and the tach was barely above 4000 rpm....
And that's when the Ducati got its second wind. From 4000 to 6000 in third will take you from 75 mph to 95 in two seconds - and after that, Bubba, you still have fourth, fifth, and sixth. Ho, ho.

This would be way more interesting if it was CO 14er photos that are hard to identify. This is 14ers.com isn't it?? Sorry, I just don't get the point of cluttering this site with a bunch of SP photos.

Well, it's probably to stoke curiousity about mountains in general, I guess. I enjoy geography, so it's an intriguing thread to me. Plus, Scott's the one taking the trouble to root around and dig up the obscure photos that are puzzling enough, which is far easier to do for Mountains of the World than for 14ers of Colorado... if you're up to that challenge, then start a thread with that theme :)

Sorry for the rant. :)

We just had a long thread on the difference between 14ers.com and SP and I would hate to see this great site diluted with SP content.

Great idea for a quick guessing game...maybe we should do it daily!!

Sounds like a good idea. I'll post a few a day. I'll make them not too easy, but not so hard that no one will get it. Here's the next one:

Anyway, don't you think posting pics of teh 14ers and guessing them would be way to easy a game on this board? I would bet that most everyone here could already identify all the 14ers.

Guys, this post doesn't really fit in the Colorado>General section, so I've moved it to this area. Based on Scott's last reply, it sounds like the focus will be non-14ers so World>Other Peaks is probably the best fit.

Sorry if that creates any confusion.
