13ers.com on the mend

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:32 am

Being so busy with 14ers.com expansion, I've neglected 13ers.com a bit over the past couple of years. So I've updated the interface and now I'm adding more (and larger) photos throughout the site. It will take months to get everything out there that I have in my archives, but I'll get it done.

So far I've made a bunch of updates for the following ranges on 13ers.com:
Elk (now has photos for all 13ers in the range)
Gore (now has photos for all 13ers in the range)
Tenmile (now has photos for all 13ers in the range)
San Juans

I'm starting work on the Front and Sangres soon...

Hey Bill. I love 14ers.com but often I take groups backpacking and I look for less traveled areas. I've been hitting the Gores and will again on at least two trips this summer to some rarely climbed 13ers in the Gores. Do you plan on adding routes to certain peaks? Would you be interested in getting photos and/or route info from members of this site?

Anyway, great job. Thanks for all the info.

Probably. I may just make it so people can add route descriptions to the specific 13er pages. AND link to the 13er trip reports on 14ers.com so they are easily seen on the appropriate 13ers.com pages.

It will be a while before I have time to add the "Add a Route" function to the 13er pages, but it will happen. I certainly don't want to re-create stuff that may already be on SummitPost, but having routes on 13ers.com will provide more concentrated info.

Thanks!
