It's getting to be that time of year again to keep avalanche safety in mind.

If your interested in getting some basic avalanche education check out the Friends Of Bertoud Pass presentations.....

Avalanche Awareness Training ’07-08 Season

FOBP will continue to provide high quality avalanche education for the upcoming 2007-2008 season. Halsted Morris, formerly the Colorado Avalanche Information Center’s Chief Instructor, and one of the most respected and experienced avalanche educators in North America, will provide backcountry travelers with an overview of avalanche awareness, avoidance, rescue and forecasting methods and skills. Topics such as route selection, hazard minimization, best practices, preparedness and terrain analysis will be covered in a 2 ½ hour classroom presentation. Our popular full-day On-snow Sessions at Berthoud Pass will follow in January 2008 for FOBP members.
