New 14ers.com DECALS

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Mon Apr 30, 2007 2:58 pm

Now there are THREE different 14ers.com decals to choose from. I have a few thousand of the new ones (version 2 and 3, below) from the printers and still have a few hundred of the old ones (version 1). I've indicated on the free decals page how you can receive them via U.S. Mail. In short, V1 and V3 are easier to read from far away but V2 has subtle text and more peak detail.

I received a free version 2 decal with my patch order! It's now on my Jeep. Thanks, Bill!

I've been seeing some of these show up on trailhead signs recently.

I've seen a few stuck to FS signs too. Oh well, I can't police what people do with a sticker.

A while back the Dillon Ranger District of the Forest Service sent a nastygram to the CFI (14ers.ORG) because they saw a 14ers.COM sticker on a sign in Summit County somewhere, and confused the two entities. The CFI contacted me and I then contacted the FS to explain that I didn't put it there. Such is life.

I wonder if the Clear Creek Ranger District will try to bill me $10/sign for advertising if they spot a 14ers.com decal on a sign. They will need the money after this Mt. Evans fiasco.
