All the most useful maps at one location, that is pretty cool.

Thanks!

And I've just replicated the functionality to all Google-based maps on the site:
  • When viewing someone's peak checklist (13ers and/or 14ers) on Google Maps
  • When viewing "Map of Routes and Nearby Peaks" on a main peak page
  • When viewing "Nearby Peaks" on a peak's route list
  • When viewing the Google Map for a specific route description
  • When viewing route milestones within a route description (milestones are displayed by clicking the tiny, red ballons in the route text)
  • On the Google Map inside a trip report where the author has included a Map/GPX file
  • and on the home page if you have your Display Settings set to show a Google Map on the home page

now I have to add this stuff to 13ers.com...

Thanks! I didn't know you had snotel sites on there till this morning. That's so much easier than trying to figure out the 2" x 2" map on the snotel website!

Bill, great additions to the maps! Is there a chance that the SNOTEL overlay could have a popup identifier when the cursor is placed over the circle?

The markers do have "on click" popups but I can't easily add hover text. However, I did change the input SNOTEL file so it retrieves the daily file from NRCS, which includes colored markers based on current water levels. Hopefully their data source (file) is updated daily and works properly.

Update: I noticed the SNOTEL site data is unavailable this morning so their links inside the 14ers.com map are currently dead. Figures.
