Searching for Trip Reports

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Thu May 17, 2012 11:39 am

After some suggestions in the 14erworld thread, I've added a new search criteria to the main Trip Reports page. This should make it easier to find reports where the author has included a peak/place other than a Colorado 14er or 13er.

I hope it helps...

Thanks, Bill! I'm sure I will put this to good use.

Many, many thanks Bill! I too am one of those who rarely adds to the TRs thinking that I clutter up the 14er stuff. Even though I've found some great info within the pages on this site.

Awesome addition.

Although it was kind of entertaining trying to think of a keyword that would pull a specific report that I was looking for. :D

Is there any way to post a trip report that is a year late and not have it show up in the main page?

Bill just added this functionality. When posting your TR, there's now a check box at the bottom that reads "Set the report 'Add Date' equal to the climb date. This will keep your report from showing up at the top (most recent) of the trip report list."

With that new addition, perhaps I will go back and fill in missing 13er reports that I did from several years ago. Mainly to help facilitate with route beta.

It appears that you are about 400 or so TRs short of your "shown" count... I don't envy your next many evenings... :P
(Thanks for the 121 so far!)
