I recently noticed that your Enhancements Page has not been updated for a while. Are you still using that page?

Nope, it became a pain to have to update the page, etc. so I'm keeping a list of items on paper. Plus, having a to-do list displayed to the public caused an interesting thing to happen: "Hey, Bill! When are you going to finish <insert task here> that I see on the Enhancements page?" I got a lot of that, so I took it down.

I would like to see a weather link button added to the routes page. Yes, I'm lazy but I always want to send you that request.
Thanks for a great web site. Climb on!

Done. Look for the "Weather Info" link (under Additional Tools), at the top of each route description...

No sure if this has been mentioned, but a caption for the avatar would be cool, and maybe even lon/lat coordinates for the pic (if applicable) that could then be translated into a 14ers.com members avatar map...

May already have been mentioned but I tend to have a difficult time translating easy/rough 2wd, 4wd, etc. trailhead info into positions relative to the trailhead. Most are described in terms of elevation although some are described in terms of distance in or out in miles (this is most helpful).

It would be great to see a road info added to the topo maps for routes or separate topo's for the TH's, using the same type of labeling as with routes...

X - marks the trailhead
green - paved
blue - easy 2wd
... etc

This would be very helpful in determining how close one could get within particular road conditions.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, hard to read through 392 replies, but...

The closest developed campground to each TH would be great! Always good to know where you can crash, get water, empty trash, take a (non-squatting) dump, etc. when coming from out of state. :)

And while we're at it...maybe the closest pub.

FWIW, Your GPS maps, as in Nuvi, have all that plus a lot more, they're called POIs (point of interest).

Bill,

Seems like the number of "non trip report" TRs is up a bit recently. Between the reports that belong in the forum somewhere instead (lost and found, trailhead conditions, etc.) and the "WTF?" reports (no toilet paper at TH, etc), it's getting a little crowded in there. Maybe there should be some guidelines in the "Add Trip Report" form?

Overall this is a great site, I don't really think you "need" to improve anything. Being a web programmer by trade there is always a push to evolve the site. The only real thing I could say is place a few click through ads to (REI, Backcountry, Campmor) on your site to pay your hosting fee and coffee bill. Otherwise don't change anything.

You mean like the one on the front page right under the picture of the big mountain?
