SERVER IMAGE PROBLEM - no worries

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Tue Jan 29, 2008 12:12 pm

Had a bit of problem with one of the drives on the site a few minutes ago, so some of the images on the site are temporarily unavailable.

I'm on it and should have the problem resolved soon. Sorry!

I have automated programs to notify me when there are certain types of errors on the server. Luckily, this was one that was picked up by my programs. And just when I was getting ready to go out and plow the driveway. :o

Problem solved. It was an issue with a directory and I had to temporarily take down the images area to fix the problem.

No kidding. My IT department requires that I put in the request for approval before it goes to a committee that then places it into the next cycle that has space available for my area. Currently that would mean it would be fixed by July.

Oh well, it's these old slow systems here that give me the time to daydream and post here while my reports take 20 minutes to run using up almost all my system resources. Fortunately leaving just enough to run a web window.
