Crestone Needle Ellingwood Ledges/Arete Video Trip Report

Postby MtHurd » Sun Jan 14, 2007 6:43 pm

I made this as a .mwp file but I believe you will have to have a recent version of Windows Media Player to view it. It is very large so don't bother unless you have a high speed connection. The video is 18 minutes long. We climbed this route at the end of July, it just took me a while to get around to making this video. :-)

Very cool! Crestone Needle was my first 14er, someday maybe I can climb this route. That looks very cool.

Very well done. What software did you use to put together the film?

Nice video Barry! I am not much of a Symphony X fan though.

Hehehe. I don't have any country music. :-)

I used Ulead Video Studio 8.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I love Prog Metal, I am more of a Dream Theater guy myself. :D

I will listen to them sometimes, they are just not my favorite, do you like DT?

Off-topic but:
This is pretty rare!
Barry Raven likes DT. As do you climber16. As do I. I've seen these guys 6 times. Prog music is completely overlooked.
Some of the best musicianship and song writing since old Metallica and Marillion.

Wow! Six times? That is awesome, hopefully I will see them on their next tour, and you are right, Progressive Rock/Metal is very underrated.

I love Dream Theater. I've seen them 3 times. The first time I saw them was in a small theater in downtown Ft. Worth. Petrucci blew me away live as I was 5 ft. from him. I haven't purchased the last 2 CD's though. Six Degrees disappointed me. Maybe they have come out with some better stuff since then. I have thought about buying the Budokan live DVD, should I?

Anybody like Shadow Gallery or Vanden Plas?

I NEED to see Dream Theater live. You should get their newest DVD which is called SCORE, they shot it at the Radio City Music Hall in NYC. But yeah, I like those bands, in fact I am listening to Fields of Hope by Vanden Plas right now. 8)
