Grizzly chasing a buffalo

Has anyone seen this? Totally amazing. The image of just the grizzly is seriously a nightmare...

That buffalo was going to be a carcass soon anyway, the grizzly just wanted a head start on scavenging. 8)

These two have actually had a confrontation before. It looks like the tables were turned this time.

Wow. That is one seriously messed up buffalo. They should put that picture on all the "don't walk on thermal area" signs.

The buffalo got away, survived until the park service shot him. Not a good day for him.

If I was in that situation, I'd have run the buffalo over to save the grizzly the trouble of the chase.
But I drive a pretty junky vehicle. Maybe this guy has a nice vehicle and forgot his handgun. He could have at least shot the buffalo.

Maybe this was "Mack" the Grizzly from Honey Smoked Fish Co. - after he ran out of salmon. Speculation - not the bear facts.
