Lostsheep5 Highlighted in Colo Spgs Gazette

Postby sgladbach » Thu Sep 30, 2010 6:17 pm

Eric's photo appeared on the front page of today's (9/30/10) Colorado Spring Gazette. There was a nice article on him in the "Out There" section. The article also had account (mostly positive, but realistic) of the 14ers.com community.

We're proud of you Eric!

Great article. Thanks for sharing it Steve. I think everyone that has climbed with Eric will say he's mature well beyond his years. His mother must be very proud of him.

Eric, that is fantastic. Keep reaching your dreams (and summits)! Congratulations again! =D>

Eric, great article about your transition from “who’s this kid always looking for a ride” to accomplished climber.

Nice article...Eric I thoroughly enjoyed climbing with you on Pyramid Peak. I am impressed with your perseverance, your thirst for knowledge and the maturity to apply that knowledge. Those attributes will continue to bring success your way in whatever endeavor you pursue. =D> =D> =D>

It is nice to read an article with a good mountaineering story these days, for a change. When Eric told me by the Snowmass Lake that he wants to "ski them all," I sensed he would accomplish that before I finish the first round... I still do not doubt that. A nice story of a very nice young man and his accomplishments. Congrats again!

Congrats, Eric! Well-deserved recognition. And I agree with Kate: it's great to hear a positive story these days.
