On a completely unrelated but related note (yeah, I know), up at the Boulderfield a few days ago, I was actually able to pet a marmot! I petted him three times while he sat on my lap. Man, I'm gonna get crap for that one. #-o :lol:

I was in a similar situation above South Colony Lakes on Saturday. Man, I'd give anything to pinch the fat on a marmot's side. And I'm not talking about a little goose either. I'm talking about grabbing a fistful of beef and going "Arghhhhhh..." at the same time.

I don't know how many shots you'd have to get these days after a bite but if it was under ten, I'd consider "John Wayne-ing it" the next time I get close to one.
