Congratulations Eric Holle!

Postby Peak Fitness » Sun Jul 04, 2010 12:06 pm

6 years ago, Eric Holle (mtnmaneric) helped me get up my first 14'er in Colorado. We have climbed many mountains together over the years since then. Yesterday, July 3rd, I was honored to stand at the top of Mt. Elbert with Eric as he had finished his quest to climb all of Colorado's fourteeners. If you don't know Eric and have never climbed with him, well you should. He is a great climbing companion and an even better friend. Congratulations Eric! You rocked it! =D>

 Congrats Eric, wish I could have been there instead of 14,381' lower. Now go drink 58 different beers :iluvbeer: like you're getting ready for a hockey game. Hopefully I can get back to finish after voting Barbara Boxer out of office. Miss you guys (even Peak Fitness trying to crawl into my one person tent :-P ), safe and happy climbs everyone!

Thanks for the shout out guys! It was a great goal to accomplish, and to have friends like you all to finish them with was amazing. Peak Fitness, I'll be there for your last - even if it means I get to do Capital again!

The summit party was great, we had lots of beers, shots, cigars and hot dogs - yes, hot dogs. I carried the grill...

Congrats, Eric! It was great being up there for the conclusion!
A "No Smoking" section in a restaurant makes about as much sense as a "No Peeing" section in a swimming pool.

Congratulations!
I have been to the mountaintop, and I have seen the force
and the power that animates the universe. That may not
match up with your anthropomorphic or teleological idea of
what "god" is, but it's good enough for me.

Well, getting married in 2 months is the most important thing right now. Then, we'll see. 100 highest? Denali? Back to Peru for a second climbing tour? Right now, I'm just enjoying this feeling!
