Jones Mountain @ 13221'

Post by Hiker Mike »

Hello,

Anybody have any info about this mountain, Jones Mountain @ 13221'? Looks like it would be a fun climb. It is located near Ptarmigan Lake near Buena Vista. Perhaps my eyes are tired but I didn't see it on the 13er lists. Do I have the name wrong? The Trails Map #129 lists the elevation at 13221' but does not show a name.

Thanks,
Mike

Good trail from Ptarmigan Lake TH to the saddle between Gladstone Ridge and Jones Mountain. Steep grassy slopes from there.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. Interesting that the elevation is different than what is on the map. I might hike it tomorrow.
