Finnegan Peak

Post by RobertPetrowsky »

Has anyone climbed Finnegan Peak from Gold Dust Peak? My girlfriend wants me to take her camping in that area and I'm looking for information about how feasable it is. I was thinking we woud climb New York Mountain from the W Lake Creek trail and climb the ridge south to Gold Dust. From there I was curious if it was safe to climb the ridge north over Finnegan and down into the lake creek area again? If anyone has any info on this I would appreciate it!

Looks like a lot of fun! I think I'll save that one for hiking with a more experienced friend. My girlfriend is a bit too afraid of exposure. I guess I can still make NY and Gold Dust with her. Thanks for the link!
