French Gulch to French Pass - passable?

Post by Jim Davies »

I'm thinking of hiking down French Gulch (Breckenridge) from French Pass (on the way down from Guyot/Bald, after going up Little French Gulch). My topo shows a trail only part-way up (to 10,800'). Is there a clear path all the way to the pass at 12K'? Or am I going to wind up mired in willows and mud?
