Father Dyer Conditions

Post by joelsteidl »

Hi All,

I was thinking about giving Father Dyer a go over the long weekend. Does anyone have any information regarding snow conditions in the area?

Thanks!

I was up in the area doing some skiing and mountain biking yesterday, and there is still a lot of snow in the Tenmile Range. I was up on Mt. Guyot and postholing a lot below treeline once the skis came off. It may be melting quickly, but still plenty of coverage... which depending on what you plan to do, is good for skiing, bad for hiking/climbing. Here's a picture of the Tenmile Range I took yesterday, hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect.

Thanks for the update. Looks like I should probably try something else.
