Colorado Springs Happy Hour (July 24th)

Postby Wilderness_hike » Wed Jul 03, 2013 2:22 pm

I haven't been active on the forums in a couple of years, but I'm getting back into climbing again, and did a search and it looks like the Colorado Springs folks haven't had a Happy Hour meet up in a while. I'd love to reconnect with the folks I met a few years back and meet other new people. I'm thinking Thursday July 25th at Phantom Canyon, but am flexible if people have a better date and/or location in mind.

Edit: Date, time, and location have been set. 6:30 pm Wednesday July 24th at Bristol Brewing Bristol Brewery 1604 S. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80905

Address has been updated. My apologies, I'm not sure how I got the old one in there.

I'm a huge fan of Rocky Mountain Brewery which is near Powers & Platte. RMB is not a fancy place by any means, but they have great beer and a bbq trailer outside. Thursday is also trivia night...

Bristol's new schoolhouse digs are quite nice and IMHO their brews are the best in the Springs hands down. Just sayin'.

I'd be interested in meeting new people too! I'm flexible with location, but regarding the date, I work Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Count me in if you choose another evening! :-D

I'd be in. I went to school grades K-6 in what is now the new Bristol digs. I'd love to see the remodel and drink a beer.

Count me in. Jack Quinn's is always a solid choice on live music nights...

I haven't been real active (online) this season, but if there were some reason to check out the new Bristol digs, I'd be very interested. I think it's amazing what they've done for the city, apart from their awesome beers.

LingLi : I think I met you once at Barr Camp. Did you lead a group up Kilimanjaro ?

JeffCC:

Yes, I did lead a group up Kilimanjaro! That was last year in June, and we all summited!! We're going again next year! Also, this October we're going to Everest Base Camp, and to Kala Patthar to watch sunrise & sunset on Everest!

I'm at Barr Camp a lot! I climb Pikes frequently and in fact tomorrow will be my July summit! If you ever want to hike it together, feel free to join me. I always meet some great people at Barr Camp! Hope our paths cross again soon!

Lots of people showing some love for Bristol, and I have to admit I didn't know they had moved and the new place. It sounds cool and I'd like to see it, so let's set that as the location. It sounds like most people are okay with a Thursday, but out of respect for Ling I'll see how everyone feels about Wednesdays. Thoughts??

Wednesdays sound good. I haven't seen the Ivywild facilities, yet, either!
