Last minute Humboldt ski partners

Postby Gueza » Fri Apr 26, 2013 3:42 pm

Anyone wanna ski Humboldt tomorrow? It will need to be a quick trip because I have to be back in the springs at 4pm Saturday. The SE Flank is in great condition according to a buddy of mine that skied it a few days ago and the weather looks great. Looking to leave the springs around 9pm tonight and car camp. Starting early tomorrow. Am happy to drive my 4WD and carpool from the springs

Skied it via the SE Flank yesterday. Got some turns off of the summit then took the skis off and traversed a 100ish feet, put them back on and didn't take em off until the car. Sound better than it actually was, would have been better off dropping in an hour earlier. I'll put some pics up later.

Nice meeting you yesterday, Gueza.

I hit the trail an hour after you did. I climbed a south facing gully just west of the summit. By the time I got to the summit, you were already gone...I could see your tracks. Your tracks told the tail of a skier who had a lot of fun.

Hauling balls down the entire 4wd road to the car was a great way to end the day. I must have been doing 30+ mph in spots!
