Mt. Whitney - Looking for Partners

Postby jblyth » Mon Mar 11, 2013 6:25 pm

I’m heading out for a shot at Mt. Whitney April 17-21 via the Mountaineer’s Route and my normal partners aren’t available. I know it’s a long shot on such short notice, but I thought I’d see if anyone is interested in joining me. April is a great time since you don’t need a permit and it isn’t as crowded, but it requires a bit more work. Reply or PM if you want more details…

Cheers!

Jason

Just so you know, Big City Mountaineers has a bunch of groups climbing the Mountaineers route on the Summit for Someone program all through April. I am on the April 24-27 climb. There are 5 or 6 groups going up the mountain every week in April with 10 climbers each, with a couple of guides. Since we raised $4,000 in order to be on a team, I wouldn't recommend you try to go with a group....but whose to say you can't follow them up? Just sayin in case you can't find a partner....

How many are driving out for this? I live in SW Denver and would like to join the trip.
I have phenomenal route-finding abilities. Specifically, I have an uncanny knack for selecting the path of most resistance.

I'd be interested in road-tripping out there for this, but it would have to be a week or two later - the first week of May.
