No problem! The only bad part of them was the stupid fake mustache. When the wind kicked up it was like someone put a plastic bag over my face. Maybe when I achieve adulthood I can actually grow a real one.

I hereby proudly claim what I suspect is the FTA (First Tebow Ascent) of Quandary Peak, and possibly the FTA of a 14,000-foot mountain in Colorado. I'd like to thank my mom for always encouraging me to chase my dreams, my hiking partners for sharing a (metaphorical) rope, and of course future career third-stringer Tim Tebow for the inspiration.

Many Miles to Go (Blog)

“There are two kinds of climbers: those who climb because their heart sings when they’re in the mountains, and all the rest.” - Alex Lowe

"There have been joys too great to describe in words, and there have been griefs upon which I cannot dare to dwell; and with those in mind I say, 'Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper

I was wondering if you were planning to start another war here. :D

I was actually wondering why you were trying to replicate Rodin's Thinker on the summit. But then of course I don't watch TV :)

While I may be echoing everyone else who has chimed in, it's still worth saying. It was a great outing and I'm looking forward to the next one, whenever it is.

I wish we hadn't had to turn around so quickly. I would have loved to meet all of you, it looks like everyone had a great time up there. When is the next gathering? As I am fairly new to 14ers.com I do not know the trends here. Have lived in Colorado my whole life and only recently found this site. Man have I been missing out.

I know, that one was a blast.
Someone will post something. That's usually all it takes to get the 14ers wrecking crew out for a party.

Thanks again to all the crazy 14ers characters that made this last event so sweetly memorable....

How about a New Years Eve hike?! That would fall on a Saturday this year. New Years Day is out for several obvious reasons.
