The snow conditions don't look to great. And weather this weekend isn't favorable either. I think I'll just climb the crestone this summer or more toward mid May. I'm going to try and join the group headed down to the Wilsons. Care to come with there?

Actually, as far as forecasts go this time of year, it's not that bad. Conditions are going to be improving through the rest of the week and with the exception of some gusty winds on Friday everything else looks pretty kosher.

Dammit, cant decide between doing this or rolling solo on Shav/Tab. I would march in tomorrow though if Crestone and just camp up the creek some. Whats your estimated time for leaving the Trailhead on Saturday morning Terry? I will have cell service at trailhead, so could text and/or call tomorrow from Rainbow trail TH at least. Sending PM after I post this too Terry as well.

Long day, so I'm aiming for a 4 am start on the trail. Sean and I will be leaving the Springs around 1:30, Charlie is heading down Friday night, and Jacob might be going now, too. Andy (weenus) has a group going down on Friday night, too. They're going to be heading up Humboldt, so if you do decide to head down on Friday you'll have some company, at least. I was exchanging PM's with Bob today; he said that people were actually getting to the upper parking area, but after this week's snow we're probably only going to make it about 1.5-1.75 mile. The intersection with the rainbow trail is about 2.5 miles from the lower TH and the upper lot is about 2.8 miles. The OLD upper TH is another 2.75 miles up the road.

At any rate, that's probably more information than you wanted, but you are certainly welcome to join us.

Yo Sevenii, I would be down to hit Shavy and Tab with you. I sent you a PM but sometimes those dang things take so long to leave my outbox.

The PM's won't leave your outbox until the recipient reads it. Then it goes to your sent items. I talked to Chris earlier and I'm pretty sure we've already firmed-up plans for the Peak. 8)
