Are you sad because mine is so much bigger than yours, Bill?

I have no plans to produce a Spring Gathering banner. Go ahead and bring it.

Yes, D... I am sad that your imagination is so much bigger than mine is. Why you had to publicly forum such an embarrassing anomaly is beyond me.

I am interested in Missouri on Saturday, and possibly another hike on Sunday. Leaving from Denver, likely on Friday night.

Leaving from Castle Rock that Friday around 5:30-6pm, will probably be there both Fri and Sat nights.

Leaving from Golden Friday morning in a 2WD car...will probably have to park at the Clear Creek Reservoir and find some way to Winfield from there

Can anyone help?

Realistically, you should be okay in a 2WD car. If the road all the way to Winfield is 4WD drive only because of snow, the main campsite is more likely to be the area just before the Missouri trailhead. It’s not just the vehicles. The very good point of snow coverage at the campsite has been brought up. We don’t want to be pitching tents in a soggy mess where the snow is still melting off much of the ground. When dry the road to Winfield is not a problem for 2WD. Past Winfield is where the road to the Huron trailhead becomes 4WD.

If it takes 4WD to get to this first big campsite, I’m sure some of us can do an extra round trip shuttling people and their gear.

I find it pretty hard to believe the road will be melted out but there may be less snow over there I don't know

With the snow that was dumping today, it might not be. Still, it has a couple of weeks to melt.

Hmm... As much as I would like to camp for the weekend, I don't have much in cold weather camping gear, and I'm short on cash. ](*,) Maybe I can rent something.

Wildlobo, are you still planning on doing Belford/Oxford? I remember you saying that in the other thread.

Anyone interested in carpooling out on Friday and heading back to Denver after the climb on Saturday? I'm looking to Oxford/Belford. I have a 2WD car, so I'm not sure how it'll do.

PM me if anyone is interested!
