Are you attending the 2011 14ers.com Spring Gathering?

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like KeithK will be making it to the Spring Gathering this year. It appears that the Gathering will take place on Saturday-Sunday, May 7-8. For those of you who haven't attended a gathering before -- they're usually quite fun and gives you the opportunity to mingle with your fellow 14ers.com members. Keith usually chooses areas that have access to easier routes to encourage less-experienced hikers/climbers to come out. This year, the overwhelming majority of voters chose the South Winfield area (Various 13ers and 14ers in the area; Refrigerator Couloir on Ice Mtn. if it's in, Hopeful Couloir on Mt. Hope from Sheep Gulch TH). A lot of people like to drive up to the gathering area on Friday night. Be forewarned about bringing kids, though; many of us like to drink at the conclusion of the days.

I will most likely be attending, but I'm sure many others would like to get an idea of who else is going, so I'm starting this separate thread. Please indicate if you'll be attending (in the poll) and how many others will be joining you in the comments. Should be a good time!

Unless something major comes up, I'm 100 percent in. The goals are Missouri Mountain's North Face and Hopeful. I'm coming from Denver (Cap Hill) and am all about some carpoolin'. I'd like to leave right after work Friday night and stay through Sunday.

Carson and I will be climbing Sayres BM, not exactly in the Winfield area though, so we'll either be by Friday night or Saturday afternoon/evening. I might stay through until Sunday for something else, but won't know until it's closer.

Sorry -- if you already voted, please re-cast your vote. I took the "no" response out. Not really helpful for trying to get an idea of people who are/might be attending.

I'd love to be there (I've got to get to one of these some day). The Denver Health Foundation is having their annual fundraiser on the night of the 7th, and I'm committed to that.

I've yet to attend one of these and have had my sights on Missouri for awhile now. I figure I'll head up mid Sat morning, hang out and climb Sunday if anyone is interested. I'm coming from Broomfield and can hitch or drive if that schedule works for anyone else. Lookin' forward to it!

Kate (KatieFinn) and I are in for Hope and (probably) Quail on Saturday. Maybe something else on Sunday.

Haven't thought too hard on which mountain we'll do yet.

I'd like to attempt Missouri and Hope as well. Not sure which day will be which, but I'm 99.9% in.

I'll only climb with you if you wear the suit.
