How embarrassing... First sentence of the first page to boot.

Not quite sure if I should do that with my lack of alpine gear beyond microspikes. I would need an ice axe at the very least.

You would probably do fine on Belford with snowshoes for the approach, microspikes on the standard route/ridge. An ice axe is good to have, but the ridge itself would likely be windswept. Take a look at winter TR's of Belford, and you would see what I mean. Depends on comfort level and acceptance of risk as well. So do what your comfortable with.

Keith, has Winfield been decided as the location since the overwhelming majority voted for it? I just want to check (I'm assuming it is) since we're only a few weeks away now....

Yes, it has. It's highly unlikely that I'll be attending at this point, though, so I think you should take the lead, Terry!

Unacceptable.

It's probably due to your lack of vitamin R.

Keith, you can't put Terry in charge....I have some photographs from the Fall Gathering that show him to be unworthy of authority. :P
Kidding, Terry, kidding.

I wasn't going to mention that as a reason, but I knew someone else would. :P
