San Juans This Summer

Postby Crag » Mon Feb 07, 2011 6:33 pm

My goal is to climb most (possibly all) of the 14K peaks in the San Juans this summer. In the coming months, it would be great to start mapping out a schedule. If anyone else out there is interested in going after the San Juans this summer, let me know by replying to this post or sending me a PM.

i'm planning on the following this summer:

Chicago Basin Group
San Luis
Maybe the Wilson Group as well

It'll most likely be in July
Save a place for me up in the high country.
There's still space to breathe.

Yep I have several planned as well. Most will be climbed with Yalegirl.

While part of my goal this summer is to bag more sawatch 14ers, there are a few san juans I want to do. I would like to bag handies, sunshine, redcloud, uncompahgre & sneffels. I would personally like to save sneffels for last (maybe sometime in September) to bag some of the easier ones before, but as far the other ones go, I'm open to which order I tackle them in.

In the San Juans, I'm planning to climb the Wilson Group, Sneffels, Eolus, and Uncomp this summer. I haven't given much thought to a schedule yet, but will be looking for partners when I make it down that way.
