Does anyone know if the road is open all the way to the Denny Creek TH. I read a report from a week ago that said it was, and I assuming this recent storm didn't drop enough snow to make too much difference. Yet, on the TH status page it mentiones that the road usually closes 3 miles prior to the TH in winter. Is this a gate that closes? Or is the website simply referring to closure due to snow?

Thanks!

Hey Bill, glad your going to make it!

I don't know that I'll be getting there after all; too much to do with moving next week and Christmas in two. I'll see where I am at tonight, but don't expect me.

I'm back in and sitting at Eddyline. I rode the road to Denny creek and it's open. A bit slick up top but no big deal. See y'all there!

Ryan, thanks for the advice. P.S. you are missing a peak on your 13er checklist, we summited (unranked) K2 en route to Capitol...

B-Thom - Sorry, I can't quite remember the user names, but was it your summit picture I took up top? I thought so, but just wanted to make sure I send it to the right guy.

And it was great to meet a few of you and sorry I didn't get a chance to meet all of you!

Yes, if you could PM to me would be great! Today was a blast (of wind) but I think I'm done with big peaks for the year after today...

When/where is the 2011 Spring Gathering?

Great hike. Me and monster5 (the guy in the red jacket who started by himself) made it down around 4. WE thought we could hear some people behind us but not sure.

It was great to have 8 other people to hike with and the mountain was great-just the right amount of challenge.

How were the conditions? Any photos; or do we need to wait for a TR?

Congatulations to all who attempted and/or summited.
