Re: KC/Challenger Missing Person
So sad. My deepest condolences to your family. My friend Terry Matthews, who tragically passed last week, introduced me to this poem. I hope it helps in its own little way:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
God bless.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
God bless.

Re: KC/Challenger Missing Person
For some reason, after looking at that picture of Mike on Humboldt, I feel like I have met and hiked with him before. He looks so familiar. Sorry to the family for your loss, sounds like he spent a lot of time in the mountains.

Condolences and RIP Mike.
The time I spent chatting with you on Tabeguache, I could tell you were sincere and passionate about hiking.
