Re: Climber Deceased on North Marion Today.
Here's a news article from the Denver Post. Very sad, RIP.

A man died while hiking on Maroon Bells Saturday morning.
The man, who has not been identified, was about 300 feet from the summit of North Maroon Peak when he fell 600 to 1,000 feet, said Alex Burchetta, spokesman for the Pitkin County Sheriff's office.
Around 9:30 a.m., the sheriff's office started coordinating Mountain Rescue Aspen and a flight team was launched around noon.
A separate group of hikers was able to get to the man's body. He appears to be in his 30s.
A team is working to remove the body from the mountain.
It appears he was hiking alone.

How sad...one more death in a season that's already had far too many of them

May the fallen climber rest in peace, and may his family and friends find strength and comfort during this time of loss.

Several close friends of mine were climbing the bells today, doing the traverse without a rope. My stomach is in my feet.

I believe this is a friend of mine. Leaves behind a family. I'm in complete disbelief. Please say a prayer for his family.
