Re: Closed-Cell Sleeping Pad Suggestions
I've heard of people using Reflectix Mylar from Home Depot as a pad under the inflatable. Foam pads and evazote pads cost more, weigh more, and are a little more bulky than the Reflectix Mylar. Anyone have camping/expedition experience with this? Kind of an unknown R value for the use.
Live today like yesterdays history and tomorrows a mystery.

Pretty sure there are other threads about it as well.
Re: Closed-Cell Sleeping Pad Suggestions
I like the Gossamer Gear line of packs because your closed cell foam pad doubles as padding for the backpack and keeps it from taking up pack space. Their "nightlight" torso length pad is the most comfortable sleeping pad I've used, on the right surface. I use a 1/8" thinlight doubled over for my legs/heels and an inflatable pillow for my head. Total weight is somewhere around 10 ounces.
