That's ... exactly what I've been asking for for years. I wish the screen came in a color e-ink, but I'd take it as it is. Now to ponder whether I want to get $249 together for it.

E-ink screens refresh slowly. You wouldnt use them for scrolling or video.
But they would be visible in sunlight. And their batteries last for days.
