You guys should try Stone "Enjoy By" 4.20 IPA, before it's all gone. My favorite IPA so far.

The Loose Leaf is not bad, especially after working in the yard all, ect. Refreshing with a bit of a lime taste.

Big Eye by Ballast Point is a great IPA.

The Enjoy By was great - I was able to get several plus a bomber on tap at the local whole foods.

That Crank Yanker is tasty...

I haven't seen the Elephant Rock before, good stuff?
I honestly think that Elephant Rock is the most balanced IPA that I've ever had. It's even funnier that I heard the the brewer didn't even want to do an IPA, and he just half-heartedly whipped up a recipe. I'm not 100% sure if that story is true, but it is my favorite beer right now.

I learned a neat trick in Jasper in the early 70s.
In the big beer hall you only see your waiter about once an hour.
So you order 5 drafts and one bottled stout.
You top off each 10c draft with some stout.
Five really good kicked up beers for one dollar.
I do the same today.
A 30 pac of cheap beer and a 6er of stout.
Same ratio.
Still works for me.

A new one, and pretty good, from the Tallgrass folks. Not to be confused with the member.

Ethos IPA, less than 7 and 110 IBUs.

Loved Elevation's Apis IV. Mighty good. Carver's Hefeweizen pretty decent, too.

From the more widely available list, really been liking Anchor Steam, Ommegang Rare VOS, Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale.

Those beers don't go as far at 12K as they do at 13+...

That's another way to pack light; drink higher.

do we need a separate thread for "favorite wine"? i find it easier to carry some red wine in a bladder to the top of a summit...plus i'm personally biased since i worked & lived near Napa Valley for 23 years...
