ONLINE DEALS

Postby metalliryan » Sat Nov 10, 2007 2:43 pm

Just thought I would start a thread for deals that people find online and would like to share it with others.

Here are some I found

Also, if you use the 14ers.com LINKS page to get to REI or STP, 14ers.com will get a small commission back from the vendor when you place an order. That money goes directly to 14ers.com web hosting costs.

Thanks!

How much does hosting this site cost, Bill? I honestly have no clue, but it sounds like a pretty substantial sum of money.

Just the base hosting cost is over $600 a month right now. Due to the massive volume that the site receives from spring through fall, I have to have a large server with a huge amount of available bandwidth. And it's not a shared hosting server - it's dedicated to 14ers.com.

In all of 2007, the STP/Backcountry/REI kickbacks contributed nearly $500 to the site. It's definitely worth it to have those affiliate relationships.
