The pack on Mt. Belford Friday 8, August 2012, also a token Italian Greyhound. I apologize for the people messing up the pic.

Kala the wunderdawg... got her in 2009 from New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue... they do a wonderful job. I'm sold forever on Heelers. great mountain dogs... Kala has been on 4 14ers, several 13ers and countless Wyoming back country hikes. She's also an unofficial Trip Leader with the Colorado Mtn Club

here she is on Mt Democrat Saddle and meeting a new friend on Quandry.... (she's clipped into my pack, that's as close as they got)

I'm pretty sure I recognize some of these dogs from our climbs.

Izzy is a 9 year old, 11lb mix, probably Chihuahua and Cairn? He was picked up as a stray on streets of South Central LA when he was about 6 weeks old. I got him from the pound when he was 8 weeks. Best dog ever. He likes making people reconsider their thoughts about small dogs - I tend to refer to him as "portable" rather than "little."

Louie the Bloodhound. Never made it it to Colorado, but he climbed many 14ers. In fact he may have climbed most of the 1400' mountains in the Ozarks. :-D

Here is Timber, my faithful companion on trails around the U.S. He loved the snow and was always ready to roll.

Me and Snyder, my 3.5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer-Bluetick Coonhound, on the summit of Mt. Lindsey. I am always so proud when he makes it to the top! He has done about ten 14ers since we moved in May '12

4 weeks ago, I adopted Bailey from the Airedale Terrier Rescue Group - she's almost 1 1/2 years old, and I'm already planning her first trip to Colorado, along with some 14'ers. A good, long hike seems to be about the only thing that wears her out!
