Linda, I don't think your biggest worry should be that dogs are in the backcountry so much as why they are all sniffing your crotch. A visit to the doctor might be in order.

This is proving to be a really shitty day at work but WOW this thread is providing some much-needed comic relief!! =D>

Please forgive my lame contribution here as I am firing blanks for a witty comment. But keep 'em coming! This is fun.

This is why I love this site: you can always be certain, that if you throw a punch, you'll get hit back :) It's that little masochistic vain in my body that keeps me returning :D

In that spirit -- Hey Socrates: Unless you're really into yourself, it's vein, not vain.

You really can be alone, for a few hours, without your stupid pets!

Ah a true dog lover.

Oh by the way, the avatar of me is me with my dog on the top of a 14er.

Maybe we should get those nasty humans off of the 14ers!
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." -- Calvin Coolidge
